Job Summary

We seek a dedicated and experienced Compliance Director to join our Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam team. The Compliance Director will oversee the organisation's compliance program and ensure that all operations and activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory and legal requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain the organization's compliance program, governance and ethics framework.

  • Oversee compliance in the oil and gas industry, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, managing assessments, and monitoring performance.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and standards.

  • Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments.

  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues and concerns.

  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors.

  • Advise the organization on compliance, governance and ethics related risks and mitigation strategies.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive governance framework aligns with industry's best practices and legal requirements.

  • Provide guidance and training staff on compliance and governance- related matters.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in law, finance or related field. (Master's Degree is preferred)

  • Minimum of 18 years of experience in compliance or related field of which 10 years of managerial role.

  • Have strong knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
