Job Summary
We seek for a dedicated Officer (Projects & Economics) to join our Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam team. The Officer (Projects & Economics) is responsible to support the commercial assurance in relation to one or more of business opportunities or proposals submitted by operators/investors that either have business interest in Brunei or intend to develop in Brunei and see whether it provides the maximum value for Brunei Darussalam
Key Responsibilities
Support in the development of new economic models and/or analyze existing economic models and ensure that they are updated regularly.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities /arrangements and trends.
Support in analyzing the feasibility of new proposals based on Operator's Investment Maturation Guidelines and provide assurance and sense check on their processes.
Assist in necessary negotiation discussion and positions as either an independent or alternative opinion to the Government shareholder in Brunei Shell Joint Venture (BSJV) or any other assigned opportunities.
Assist in the compilation and reviewing formal assumptions documentations or benchmarks utilized.
Participate in building and maintaining relationships with key internal stakeholders to identify emerging needs and business challenges.
Assist in the development of required position papers or in slides recommendation order to ensure that appropriate mandates are provided.

Qualifications & SkillsCitizen of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
Minimum bachelor's degree in commerce/marketing/engineering/economics/finance or relevant.
Must have working experience in Oil and Gas industry involving market analysis and /or business development.
Have basic understanding of petroleum economics, project evaluation and commercial operations.
Have knowledge of upstream and downstream oil and gas processes.
Familiar with government regulations and compliance in the oil and gas sector.
High level of numeracy and very strong business analytical skills are essential.
Have solid understanding of the oil and gas industry with strong customer focus and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadline constraints.
- Proficient in Bahasa Melayu and English language, both orally and in writing.
