PROJECT MANAGEMENT TEAM

Brunei Darussalam is entering a period of significant growth in the next 5 years with a robust pipeline of multi-billion-dollar development projects.

Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam (PA) is assembling a dedicated, agile Project Management Team (PMT) to be involved in multiple portfolios of both upstream and downstream developments. This is a call to the specialists, from Project Manager to engineers, the strategies, and the executors who thrive on complexity and high-stakes delivery.

THE OPPORTUNITIES

PA is establishing a dedicated Project Management Team (PMT) for some of the most significant infrastructure builds for Brunei Darussalam.

POSITION SUMMARY

The PLANNER/ SCHEDULER will be responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring integrated project schedules to ensure timely delivery of projects. He/She also is responsible to support effective project execution through planning, progress measurement, forecasting and schedule risk management

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring all approval and permit documentation is identified, prepared, and submitted to the relevant authorities within required timelines.

  • Develop project schedules using MS Project or Primavera.

  • Coordinate tasks and identify resources across multiple phases of a project to ensure resources are allocated efficiently.

  • Develop and maintain project risk register, identifying potential risk and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize their impacts.

  • Produce weekly progress report for the Project Manager, highlighting the status of each activity and recommending timeline adjustments where necessary.

  • Track planned versus actual project progress, including identifying critical path activities and escalate issues requiring attention to maintain schedule integrity.

  • Maintain accurate records of schedule revision and related documentation.

  • Facilitate meetings to review schedule status, risks and recovery plans with stakeholders, including project proponent.

  • Performed any other work as assigned by the Authority.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the oil and gas industry and construction scheduling or project coordination. Having experience in the oil and gas downstream is an advantage.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in respective area of expertise and professional certification in Engineering or Construction Management or related field.

OTHERS REQUIREMENT 

  • Having experience in a technical field and meeting project deadlines is an advantage.

  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.

  • Have strong presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills for reporting and collaboration with internal/external stakeholders including leadership team.

  • Have strong analytical and problem -solving skills.

  • Proficiency in project management and scheduling software.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Have excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
