Job Summary
We seek a dedicated and experienced Support (IT System and Infrastructure) to join our Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam team. The Support (IT System and Infrastructure) is responsible to provide technical support and maintaining the IT infrastructure to ensure the Petroleum Authority's operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves comprehensive support across hardware, software, networks, and digital platforms. Its core duties include issue resolution, supporting Microsoft 365 and ERP systems, managing IT assets, assisting with software deployment and licensing, contributing to IT projects, and ensuring adherence to IT policies and documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first -level technical support for hardware, software, and network -related issues, including diagnosing and resolving problems promptly.
Perform installations, configurations, and updates of hardware and software as required.
Conduct safety inspections on IT equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Address IT issues related to virus removal, password resets, email setup, and software installation.
Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of the Authority's IT systems to ensure they operate efficiently and meet agreed service levels.
Maintain and monitor computer networks and security systems to safeguard against potential threats.
Update and maintain the inventory of IT assets, including computers, software, and licenses.
Provide technical guidance and training to staff on the effective use of hardware and software.
Support the deployment and testing of new desktop applications and systems, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions to operations.
Set up and establish VPN access for remote users as required.
Work closely with vendor support teams to resolve technical issues with desktop equipment and software.
Assist in technical upgrades and maintenance for desktop systems, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
Maintain accurate records of IT support activities, including issues resolved, updates performed, and system maintenance.
Track and retire obsolete IT equipment and provide recommendations for the continuous improvement of IT infrastructure.

Qualifications & Skills
Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computing, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related IT field is required.
Alternatively, candidates with National Diploma in Computing, Information Systems, or a related discipline, combined with 1-3 years of solid experience in IT support roles, may also be considered.
CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network +, CompTIA Security +, or any other related IT professional certifications will be advantageous.
Having previous experience in IT would be an added advantage.
Able to use Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Good written and spoken Bahasa Melayu and English.
Able to prioritize and have multitasking skills.
Able to work in a team.
Work delivery of good quality on time.
Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
